Banyu Wirawan
Founder & Managing Director
Credentials: Certified Yachtmaster, PADI Divemaster, 15+ years in Indonesian Marine Tourism.
Banyu is the visionary behind Lombok Boat Charter. Raised in a family of sailors in Java, his life has always revolved around the sea. After a successful career managing luxury liveaboard fleets in Raja Ampat and Komodo, Banyu saw the untapped potential for a premium charter service in Lombok. He holds a commercial skipper license from the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut) and is a passionate advocate for sustainable marine tourism. Banyu personally oversees vessel acquisition and ensures every aspect of the operation meets his exacting standards, from safety protocols to the quality of the guest experience. His vision is guided by our strict editorial and operational standards.
Siti Rahayu
Head of Operations & Guest Relations
Credentials: Bachelor of Tourism (STP Mataram), Certified First Aid & Crisis Management, 10+ years in luxury hospitality.
A native of Mataram, Lombok, Siti is the organizational powerhouse of our team. Her career began in guest relations at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok, where she honed her skills in anticipating the needs of discerning international travelers. At Lombok Boat Charter, Siti manages all logistics, from coordinating seamless airport transfers from Lombok International Airport (LOP) to scheduling crew and provisioning our vessels. Her deep local connections and calm demeanor are invaluable in ensuring every private charter runs flawlessly. Siti is the primary point of contact for our clients, crafting bespoke itineraries that turn a simple boat trip into a lifelong memory.
Captain Made Sutrisna
Lead Captain
Credentials: Commercial Boat License (SKK 60 Mile), 25+ years navigating the Lombok Strait and Gili Islands.
Captain Made is a true ‘man of the sea’ and a respected elder in the Pemenang maritime community. A proud Sasak, he has been navigating these waters since he was a boy, learning the traditional arts of sailing and fishing from his father. His knowledge of the local currents, reefs, and weather patterns is unparalleled. Guests consistently praise his sharp eye for spotting wildlife—be it a pod of dolphins or a nesting sea turtle—and his ability to find the calmest, most pristine snorkeling spots, even on a busy day. Captain Made’s commitment to safety is absolute, and his warm, gentle nature embodies the best of Lombok’s renowned hospitality.
Isabelle Dubois
Charter Specialist & Marketing Manager
Credentials: M.Sc. in International Marketing, fluent in English, French, and Bahasa Indonesia.
Originally from France, Isabelle fell in love with Indonesia’s marine biodiversity during a backpacking trip over a decade ago. She combined her passion for travel with her professional expertise in marketing to help build boutique tourism brands across the archipelago. At Lombok Boat Charter, Isabelle connects our unique offerings with a global audience. She works closely with clients to understand their desires and translates them into perfectly tailored charter experiences. Whether it’s arranging a private chef for an onboard celebration or coordinating a specialized surf charter, Isabelle ensures every detail is perfect.
Dr. Arief Budiman (Advisor)
Marine Conservation Advisor
Credentials: Ph.D. in Marine Biology, Universitas Mataram; Advisor to Gili Eco Trust.
We are privileged to have Dr. Arief as our consulting advisor on marine conservation. A leading researcher on coral reef health in the West Nusa Tenggara region, Dr. Arief helps us develop and implement our sustainability policies.
