Our Unwavering Commitment to Safety and Compliance
Your Safety is Our Highest Priority
At Lombok Boat Charter, the safety and security of our guests and crew are the bedrock of our operations. We operate in a dynamic marine environment, and we take our responsibility with the utmost seriousness. We maintain a proactive safety culture that goes beyond simple regulatory compliance. Our commitment is to meet and exceed the highest standards of maritime safety and professional conduct in the Indonesian tourism industry. This page provides a transparent overview of our licenses, certifications, and safety protocols.
Corporate and Regulatory Compliance
We operate as a fully legal and registered entity in the Republic of Indonesia, ensuring complete transparency and accountability.
- Legal Entity: Lombok Boat Charter is operated by PT Juara Maritim Sejahtera, a legally registered Indonesian limited liability company and a proud member of the Juara Holding Group.
- Tourism Business License (SIUP): We hold a valid Surat Izin Usaha Pariwisata (Tourism Business License) issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), authorizing us to conduct marine tourism activities.
- Taxpayer Identification (NPWP): Our company is a registered taxpayer with a valid Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak (NPWP), and we are fully compliant with all national and regional tax obligations.
- Employee Welfare: All our full-time employees are registered for and covered by Indonesia’s national social security programs: BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (for employment, accident, and life insurance) and BPJS Kesehatan (for health insurance).
Maritime Safety Standards and Certifications
Our fleet and crew are subject to rigorous standards and regular checks to ensure they are always prepared and seaworthy.
- Vessel Seaworthiness: Every boat in our fleet is officially registered with the Directorate General of Sea Transportation and possesses a valid Surat Pas Kecil (Small Vessel Tonnage Certificate). Each vessel undergoes an annual safety inspection by the local Harbour Master’s Office (Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan – KSOP) in Pemenang.
- Onboard Safety Equipment: Our vessels are equipped far beyond the basic requirements. Standard equipment on every charter includes:
- SNI-certified (Standar Nasional Indonesia) life jackets for every adult and child on board.
- Marine-grade fire extinguishers.
- A comprehensive first-aid kit, including supplies for marine-specific injuries.
- VHF marine radio for ship-to-shore communication.
- Garmin GPS navigation and live tracking system.
- Emergency flares and signaling devices.
- Crew Competency: We ensure our crew is professionally qualified. All captains hold, at a minimum, a Surat Keterangan Kecakapan (SKK) 60 Mil, a seafarer’s competency certificate valid for navigating up to 60 nautical miles from shore. All crew members are certified in Basic Sea Survival and First Aid/CPR.
Operational Safety Protocols
Compliance is just the starting point. Our daily operations are governed by a strict set of safety protocols.
- Pre-Departure Safety Briefing: Before any charter departs, the captain conducts a mandatory and comprehensive safety briefing for all guests. This covers the location and use of life jackets, emergency procedures, and responsible snorkeling practices.
- Continuous Weather Monitoring: Our operations team constantly monitors weather and sea condition forecasts from the BMKG (Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency). Captains have the full authority to alter itineraries or cancel trips if conditions are deemed unsafe, with a full refund or rescheduling offered to guests.
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP): We have a detailed, documented EAP for various scenarios, including medical emergencies, man-overboard situations, and mechanical failure. Our crew conducts regular drills to ensure they can implement this plan swiftly and effectively.
- Regular Maintenance: Our vessels are on a strict preventative maintenance schedule. Engines are serviced by certified mechanics, and all safety equipment is inspected daily before departure.
Our meticulous approach to safety and compliance, as detailed in Our Methodology, is our promise to you. It allows you to relax and enjoy the beauty of Lombok, confident that you are in the safest possible hands.
